For more than 23 years, Māra has walked alongside women who are learning to feel at home in their bodies again.

Mara specializes in training women who want to feel strong, empowered, and at home in their bodies. Through personalized strength training programs, specialized nutritional approaches, and deep introspective work, Mara seeks to help her clients feel their very best.

She is particularly interested in working with women in various stages of menopause, as the body undergoes so many intense changes during this time. Whether building strength, reducing body fat, increasing your overall energy are your goals, OR, if you are wanting to build functional strength to maintain the muscle you have, strengthen bone density, and age injury-free, she has got you covered!

Mara’s approach goes far beyond numbers, metrics, or surface-level goals. She understands that a woman’s relationship with her body is shaped by deeply intertwined cultural, physical, emotional, and psychological factors. As clients evolve, their goals often do, too—and Mara adapts alongside them, creating a responsive, collaborative process rooted in trust and awareness to reach their goals.

Her work is grounded in lived experience. Having navigated serious chronic health challenges and her own complex relationship with weight, food, and body image, Mara brings genuine empathy and insight to her coaching. Years of personal healing—integrating strength training, yoga, mindfulness, therapy, and nutrition—have shaped a holistic approach that honors the whole person.

Clients often come to Mara seeking to change their physical appearance, but they stay because they feel seen, supported, and deeply cared for. She holds her clients accountable with compassion, thoughtful guidance informed by science, and a steady presence that helps clients recognize their own strength. Mara encourages her clients to do some really deep introspective work and “soul searching” in order to understand root causes for current challenges.

In addition to personal training, Mara has been teaching yoga for over 20 years. With an intentional yet playful style that blends alignment-focused movement, breath, and genuine connection, her classes emphasize a light-hearted, joy-filled approach. Mara is currently completing additional certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a Corrective Exercise Specialist and Physique & Bodybuilding Coach.
