Contact Improvisation (CI) with Rebeca is a dance form based on the ongoing dialogue between two bodies that are in physical contact, improvising with weight, listening, balance, gravity, momentum, reflex and inertia. In this class we will be studying, exploring and defining its fundamental concepts: the rolling point of contact, falling and rolling, weight exchange, counterbalance and off-balance, basic lift vocabulary and principles, continuity of motion, momentum and physical listening. We will be moving with others while taking care of our own body and needs. No experience is required; we will be building this community together!
