For Amanda, yoga has been a steadying thread through every season of her life—a way to return to presence, perspective, and compassion when everything else feels in motion.
Amanda started practicing yoga in 2011 and teaching in 2020. Her teaching style is clear, dynamic, engaging, and playful. Her classes are rooted in her long-time personal practice across multiple lineages—including Ashtanga, Iyengar, Vinyasa, and Yoga Nidra—and she prioritizes accessibility so every student can participate fully.
She teaches with a trauma-informed lens and emphasizes how to take the things you discover on your mat out into the world beyond. She has been lucky enough to study closely under master teachers Joe Kara, Lisa Walford, Lois Steinberg, Kristin McCoy, Mia Park, Shanna Small, and Gabriel Halpern. Her personal practice has been an anchor in her life, and sharing it with others is an honor. If she's not on her mat or working at her technology job, she's in the kitchen, probably pickling something.
